Athletics events scheduled in Cuenca and Berango

Spain will host two significant athletics events this Saturday. In Cuenca, the Luis Ocaña Athletics Track will host a national technical training and monitoring session for race walking. Part of the Royal Spanish Athletics Federation’s (RFEA) 2026 National Sports Technification Program, the session focuses on improving posture, center of mass advancement, and movement economy for young athletes.

In Berango, the XXXVIII International Mile will feature over 300 athletes, including world champions Isaac Nader and Mariano García, as well as European record holders Salomé Afonso and Alice Finot. The event introduces a new mixed 4x400 meter relay exhibition on an urban circuit, aimed at bringing track-based relay disciplines closer to the public.
