Athénée Royal Baudouin 1er opens new school building in Belgium
The Athénée Royal Baudouin 1er de Jemeppe-sur-Sambre has opened its new school building, a project that has been five years in the making. The 4,800 square meter facility was funded by nearly 8 million euros in European funds secured by the Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles.
New director Aveline Grégoire noted that the school features modern infrastructure, including soundproofed classrooms, a state-of-the-art gymnasium, and a large shared refectory. The building is designed as a passive building to comply with European standards.
