Atibaia advances R$ 50M education PPP to create 3,000 new vacancies
The City of Atibaia is advancing a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) for early childhood education in collaboration with Caixa Econômica Federal. The project aims to create at least 3,000 new vacancies for children aged 0 to 5 years through the construction, expansion, and renovation of up to 20 Early Childhood Education Units (UEIs) in strategic neighborhoods.
The estimated investment exceeds R$ 50 million. Under the proposed administrative concession model, a private partner will manage construction, building maintenance, furniture supply, security, and IT infrastructure. The municipality will retain full responsibility for pedagogical management, including hiring teachers and providing school meals.
In other local developments, Atibaia has announced a schedule of pest control and sanitization services at several Basic Health Units (UBS) throughout October and November 2026. On these specific dates, affected units will operate with reduced hours from 7:00 to 13:00. Additionally, the city is hosting its 21st pet adoption fair to promote responsible animal ownership.
