Atibaia athletes achieve success in youth sports competitions

Athletes from Atibaia have secured significant achievements in recent youth sports events. In judo, the São João Tênis Clube/APAJA team, supported by the local Secretariat of Sports, Leisure, and Citizenship, earned 18 spots for the Meeting Interestadual de Santa Catarina. This follows a competitive selection process in Itapecerica da Serra involving over one thousand judokas, where Atibaia representatives secured four titles, eight runner-up positions, and six third-place finishes across categories ranging from Sub-11 to Sub-18.

Additionally, the city will host the Atibaia Cup de Fut7 on November 1 and 2 at the Estádio Municipal Salvador Russani. The tournament is expected to bring together 360 young athletes competing in the Sub-11 and Sub-13 categories. Organized by the Liga Atibaiense de Futebol in partnership with the Atibaia City Hall, the event aims to promote youth football and support sports development in the Bragantina region.
