Atiku Abubakar launches ‘Ask AA’ engagement platform

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has launched ‘Ask AA’, an online engagement platform designed to allow Nigerians to question his political record, policy proposals, and vision for the 2027 presidential election. The platform went live on the evening of October 15, and Abubakar reported receiving over 1,000 questions within the first 30 minutes of operation.

During the launch broadcast on X, Abubakar was joined by former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi. The discussion addressed critical national issues including economic management, insecurity, and unemployment. Amaechi noted a link between limited economic opportunities and rising crime rates, such as kidnapping and oil theft, emphasizing that job creation is essential to improving security.

The platform allows users to submit questions, search previously answered inquiries, and select from various languages, including English, Hausa, Igbo, and Yoruba. To ensure inclusivity for those without reliable internet access, the campaign council plans to introduce a radio interface for underserved communities.
