Argentina political and economic developments across provinces

Argentina's political and economic landscape is seeing significant shifts across various provinces. In Santa Fe, Governor Maximiliano Pullaro called for the elimination of export retentions to boost competitiveness and investment, noting that the province has invested US$ 2.3 billion in infrastructure over the last 30 months.

In Santiago del Estero, political figure Gerardo Zamora is emerging as a key articulator within the Justicialist Party (PJ) following a recent summit of party leaders. Meanwhile, the province is undergoing administrative changes, including the appointment of Jorge Murad as the new Minister of Economy, a veteran with over 20 years in public administration.

Other regional developments include the reactivation of strategic roadworks on National Route 34 in Jujuy, supported by national funds, and efforts in Colonia El Simbolar to increase agricultural value-added production. On the critical side, Senator Sergio Uñac has criticized President Javier Milei’s economic model, arguing that high levels of household debt are a consequence of current policies rather than individual choices.
