Atizapán de Zaragoza: Two arrested for multiple homicides

Authorities in the State of Mexico have arrested Diego Sebastián “N” and Gerardo “N” in connection with a multi-homicide investigation in Atizapán de Zaragoza. The arrests followed a rapid investigation conducted by the Fiscalía General de Justicia del Estado de México in coordination with federal and Mexico City security agencies.

Investigators believe the motive for the crimes was the pursuit of a cold wallet containing millions of dollars in Bitcoin. The suspects are accused of multiple counts of qualified homicide, the interruption of a pregnancy involving a female four months pregnant, and cruelty to animals following the death of a female dog.

The victims were discovered without signs of life inside a residence in the Grand Viure subdivision on September 2. Authorities noted that Diego Sebastián “N” was considered a high flight risk due to his multiple nationality and economic status.
