Atlanta Braves defeat Dodgers 6-5 on Ha-Seong Kim walk-off

Ha-Seong Kim delivered a dramatic walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning to lead the Atlanta Braves to a 6-5 victory over the Los Angeles Dodgers at Truist Park. Entering the at-bat with two outs and a .066 season average, Kim broke an 84-day hitless streak by driving a pitch from Dodgers reliever Tanner Scott to score Lane Thomas.

The game was a back-and-forth contest between the National League division leaders. The Dodgers initially took a 3-1 lead following a two-run home run by Tommy Edman, but the Braves responded with runs from Austin Riley and a two-run double by Drake Baldwin. The Dodgers managed to tie the game 5-5 in the seventh inning through a Mookie Betts single and an Edman bases-loaded walk.

Dodgers starter Roki Sasaki exited the game in the fourth inning due to a blister on his middle finger. For the Braves, Matt Olson hit his 37th home run, and Sean Murphy recorded his first of the season. The win allows the Braves to maintain their lead in the NL East and narrows the gap with the Dodgers in the NL West standings.
