Atlanta Braves defeat New York Yankees 2-1 to avoid series sweep

The Atlanta Braves defeated the New York Yankees 2-1 in an extra-innings game on Sunday, preventing the Yankees from completing a three-game series sweep.

In the 10th inning, Michael Harris II hit an RBI single to score Ha-Seong Kim, securing the victory for Atlanta. Earlier in the game, Matt Olson hit a solo home冲 off Yankees pitcher Cam Schlittler in the seventh inning to give the Braves the lead. The Yankees attempted to comeback in the eighth when Trent Grisham hit a tying home run, but they were unable to regain the lead in subsequent innings.

Despite the loss, Cam Schlittler delivered a strong performance for New York, striking out 11 batters and allowing only three hits over seven innings. On the mound for Atlanta, Grant Holmes held the Yankees to three hits in six scoreless innings.
