Atlanta Braves see 12% media revenue drop and miss out on Tarik Skubal trade
The publicly traded Atlanta Braves reported a 12% decline in media revenue for the first half of 2026 after ending their agreement with FanDuel Sports Network. Q2 media earnings fell to $72.85 million, down from $81.07 million a year earlier, and the six‑month total dropped from $85.36 million to $75.37 million. The team attributed part of the decline to timing differences in revenue recognition under its own BravesVision distribution system.
Separately, the Braves were linked to a trade pursuit for two‑time All‑Star pitcher Tarik Skubal of the Detroit Tigers. According to reports, Atlanta never came close to finalizing a deal, despite making several young pitchers available. The Tigers ultimately dealt Skubal to the Los Angeles Dodgers, and the Braves shifted focus to acquiring veteran starters Tyler Mahle and Brent Suter.
