Football results: Atlanta and Deportes Linares secure key victories

Various football league updates across South and Central America show significant shifts in standings. In Argentina's Primera Nacional, Atlanta defeated San Martín 1-0 with a late free kick by Patricio Ostachuk, leaving San Martín ten positions in the table and distancing them from the promotion playoffs. In a separate match, Deportivo Maipú and San Martín de San Juan drew 1-1, allowing Maipú to maintain its seventh-place position in the classification zone.

In Guatemala's Liga Nacional, Municipal drew 1-1 against Marquense. Despite an early goal by Jefry Bantes, Marquense equalized through Carlos Santos, causing Municipal to lose its lead in the Apertura 2026 tournament.

In Chile's Segunda División, Deportes Linares moved closer to the top of the Primera B promotion playoff table following a high-scoring 5-4 victory over Trasandino. This result follows an unexpected loss by the leader, Santiago City, to Colchagua.
