Atlanta dining scene sees major openings and closures

The Atlanta metropolitan dining scene is experiencing several notable changes, including significant closures and new openings. After 16 years in Brookwood Place, Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft has permanently closed. The restaurant’s founder, DeeDee Niyomkul, stated the decision was not made lightly, and outstanding gift cards will be honored at Nan Thai Buckhead.

New establishments are arriving across the region. In Brookhaven, Michael Arnette is opening Siren, a coastal seafood restaurant featuring a dry-aged fish program and a wood-burning range. Van Leeuwen Ice Cream has opened a new location in Dunwoody at Park Place. In the Old Fourth Ward, Sargent, a concept from the Lucian Books & Wine team, is set to open along the Eastside BeltLine.

Further expansion is expected in Marietta and other areas. Chin Chin Chen Asian Fusion is returning to Marietta in a new location following a fire that destroyed its previous restaurant. Additionally, a second Poké House location is planned for Barrett Corners, with an expected opening by the first quarter of 2028.
