WNBA stars Angel Reese and A’ja Wilson make history in final regular season week

As the WNBA regular season enters its final week, several key players and teams are making headlines ahead of the playoffs.

Angel Reese of the Atlanta Dream set a new league single-season rebounding record by surpassing the 500-rebound mark. During a 106-81 victory over the Chicago Sky, Reese recorded 23 points and 10 rebounds, marking her 31st double-double of the season. Despite the historic achievement, Reese stated, “I’m not satisfied. This is just the beginning.”

In Las Vegas, A’ja Wilson scored 30 points to lead the Aces to a 98-77 win against the Seattle Storm. Wilson’s performance marked her 49th career 30-point game. The Aces currently hold a one-game lead over Atlanta for the third seed, which would grant home-court advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

The Chicago Sky, having been eliminated from playoff contention, faced a significant loss to the Dream. Despite the team's struggles, center Kamilla Cardoso expressed confidence in the squad's future and the leadership of coach Tyler Marsh.
