Caitlin Clark sets WNBA record with 45 points and 10 assists as Fever beat Storm

Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark delivered a historic performance, scoring 45 points and dishing out 10 assists in a 110‑107 comeback win over the Seattle Storm. The feat marked the first time a player in league history recorded at least 40 points and 10 assists in a single game, establishing new franchise records for the Fever and making Clark the quickest to reach 200 three‑point field goals (74 games).

In a separate WNBA incident, Toronto Tempo head coach Sandy Brondello was handed a one‑game suspension (without pay) after referring Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese as a “protected species.” Brondello issued a public apology, acknowledging the comment’s impact on Black women in the league, and the league reiterated its standards of professionalism and respect for coaches and staff.
