Kendal Daniels hospitalized after neck injury in Falcons-Bears game

Atlanta Falcons rookie linebacker Kendal Daniels sustained a neck injury during a third-quarter tackle against the Chicago Bears at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The injury occurred when Daniels’ helmet collided with the knee of Bears tight end Colston Loveland.

Medical personnel stabilized Daniels' neck and body on a backboard before transporting him off the field on a stretcher and cart. The incident caused a significant stoppage in play, with players from both teams kneeling in support.

The Falcons provided updates stating that Daniels was alert and exhibited movement in all extremities. He was taken to Grady Memorial Hospital for further evaluation. Following the game, reports indicated that Daniels was seen walking under his own power in the locker room. While the full extent of the injury is still being determined, the team has listed him on the injury report with a neck injury, with a potential return estimated for the week of October 25.
