Atlanta Falcons release linebacker Troy Andersen

The Atlanta Falcons have released linebacker Troy Andersen and signed wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson to their 90-man roster. Andersen, a former second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, has faced significant injury challenges, including knee and shoulder issues, which prevented him from playing during the 2025 season and placed him on the Physically Unable to Perform list during the current training camp.

Wilkerson, 29, joins the Falcons after stints with the New England Patriots, Las Vegas Raiders, and Buffalo Bills. He has recorded six career receptions, three of which were touchdowns.

The roster move follows another setback for the Falcons' defense, as first-round pick Jalon Walker is expected to miss the season due to a torn ACL sustained during training camp.
