Atlanta Falcons sign defensive end Cameron Sample

The Atlanta Falcons have signed veteran defensive end Cameron Sample to provide depth to their pass rush. Sample, 26, previously played for the Cincinnati Bengals and most recently spent time with the San Francisco 49ers.

The signing addresses significant depth issues at the edge rusher position following a season-ending ACL injury to Jalon Walker. Additionally, the team is anticipating potential league discipline for rookie James Pearce Jr. following a domestic dispute in February, with reports suggesting a possible suspension.

In other roster moves, the Falcons activated right tackle Jawaan Taylor from the physically unable to perform list. To accommodate Sample and Taylor, the team waived offensive lineman Jack Nelson and long snapper Philip Florenzo.
