Atlanta honors Cathy Hughes during Jackie Paige’s Baddie Brunch

The City of Atlanta officially proclaimed September 17 as ‘Cathy Hughes Day’ during Jackie Paige’s ‘Baddie Brunch’ held at Breakfast at Barney’s. The event served to honor Hughes, the founder of Urban One, for her decades of work in amplifying Black voices through media platforms.

The gathering included notable figures such as R&B singer Johnny Gill and artist Lucky Daye. Beyond the official recognition of Hughes, the event functioned as a community celebration featuring various giveaways and social activities.
