Atlanta police arrest man for Linwood Avenue burglary

Atlanta police arrested 43-year-old Christopher Pope following a burglary on the 500 block of Linwood Avenue NE. Officers responded to reports of a burglary in progress around midnight on Friday, August 21, 2026.

During the response, first responders established a perimeter and observed a man exiting the front door of the residence. Officers pursued and tackled the suspect, who was identified as Pope. Upon searching him, investigators recovered several items belonging to the victim. Pope has been charged with first-degree burglary and obstruction and was transported to the Fulton County Jail.
