Atlanta police arrest two men after Sweet Auburn shooting

Two men, identified as 22-year-old Damarcus Barnes and 18-year-old Demarcus Weems, were arrested following an early morning shooting in the Sweet Auburn area of Atlanta. The incident occurred around 3:49 a.m. near Jackson Street SE and Gartrell Street SE.

A woman was injured after being grazed by a bullet during the gunfire; she was treated at the scene and remained awake and alert. The Atlanta Police Department reported that officers recovered two firearms used in the incident. While the men face multiple charges, authorities have not yet specified the exact charges or determined if the victim was the intended target.
