Atlanta rapper Jeezy discusses hip-hop culture and new residency

Rapper Jeezy recently participated in a discussion on the “All The Smoke” podcast with Matt Barnes and Stephen Jackson. During the interview, he addressed the struggles of younger artists, stating that many young rappers involved in street violence are “hurt” rather than inherently bad. He suggested that older figures in the hip-hop community failed to provide necessary guidance when these individuals first expressed distress.

Jeezy also reflected on his personal history, including his childhood in Japan and Hawaii before moving to Georgia. He detailed his transition from the streets to the music industry, noting the influence of figures like Jay-Z and Kanye West.

Additionally, the rapper is returning to Las Vegas for his “Legend of the Snowman” residency, which is scheduled to run from November 6 through New Year’s Eve.
