Atlanta Tech Week Launches with Tech Hop Showcase and Peachtree Corners Kick‑off

Georgia Tech and Avant South are hosting the Tech Square Tech Hop on August 14 as part of Atlanta Tech Week. The event will turn Tech Square into a walkable exhibition of startups, research projects and AI demonstrations, featuring live demos, interactive exhibits and food from local entrepreneurs. Michael "Dixon" Dixon, senior director of Strategic Initiatives and Operations at Georgia Tech, said, “Sustaining a thriving entrepreneurial ecosystem takes an intentional, holistic approach.”

The week opens on August 9 in Peachtree Corners with a kickoff brunch at Atlanta Tech Park followed by panels at Curiosity Lab on topics such as moving prototypes to market and venture investing in physical‑world companies. Organized by RenderATL, the six‑day program (Aug 9‑14) includes the Silicon South Summit, the ATL AI Expo, startup showcases, pitch competitions and networking sessions, aiming to reinforce Atlanta’s reputation as a leading U.S. technology hub and to connect thousands of entrepreneurs, investors and developers.
