Atlantic City: 7-year-old boy dies in minibike collision

A seven-year-old boy has died following a collision between a car and a gas-powered minibike in Atlantic City. The incident occurred around 5:00 PM on Sunday near the intersection of Massachusetts and Melrose Avenues.

The boy was initially transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center before being airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he succumbed to his injuries. The driver of the 2012 blue Nissan Altima involved in the crash remained at the scene.

The Atlantic City Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office are currently investigating the circumstances of the accident.
