Atlantic City police investigate death at Harrah's Resort

The Atlantic City Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office have launched a joint investigation following the discovery of a deceased woman at Harrah's Resort Atlantic City.

On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at approximately 4:47 a.m., emergency services responded to a 9-1-1 call regarding an unresponsive female in a hotel room. Responding officers and medical personnel found a 41-year-old woman who was already deceased. The body was transported by the New Jersey Southern Regional Medical Examiner's Office, and an autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death.
