Atlantic City worker seriously injured in electrocution accident

A worker was seriously injured after being electrocuted in Atlantic City, New Jersey, on the morning of Thursday, September 17, 2026. The incident occurred near Annapolis and Ventnor Avenue.

According to the Atlantic City Police Department, the victim was working on a building when his ladder made direct contact with electrical wires. Police officers Thomas Gilardi and Jorge Cruz discovered the unconscious male on the ground. Officer Gilardi performed CPR after the victim lost a pulse until paramedics arrived to take over medical care.

The victim was airlifted to Temple University for treatment. The current condition of the man has not been released by authorities.
