Atlantic County law enforcement concludes firearms and narcotics cases

Law enforcement agencies in Atlantic County, New Jersey, have concluded two separate criminal matters involving firearms and narcotics.

Joshua E. Brickhouse, 34, was sentenced to 14 years in New Jersey State Prison following a motor vehicle stop by the Galloway Township Police Department. During the stop, officers discovered a fully automatic .40 S&W handgun and a 9mm Luger handgun. Additionally, police recovered 100 bags of suspected heroin or fentanyl, a digital scale, and various drug paraphernalia. Brickhouse is ineligible for parole for seven years.

In a separate narcotics investigation at an apartment complex, Tyshon Nieves, 34, was arrested by Egg Harbor City Police and several other local departments. Nieves faces multiple charges, including unlawful possession of a handgun, possession of hollow-point ammunition, and receiving stolen property. The investigation also resulted in charges of endangering the welfare of a child and cruelty and neglect of a child.
