Atlantic County men sentenced for firearms and drug offenses

Two separate criminal cases in Atlantic County, New Jersey, have resulted in prison sentences for local men involving firearms and narcotics.

Daniel Becerra, 34, of Vineland, was sentenced to seven years in state prison. The sentence follows an incident in Atlantic City where Becerra fired seven shots near a restaurant during a confrontation. Additionally, Becerra was sentenced for a separate incident involving a police pursuit in which he refused to stop for officers, forced a passenger out of the vehicle, and crashed into a residence. He must serve three and a half years before becoming eligible for parole.

Nathaniel Fisher, 34, of Atlantic City, received a 14-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to firearms and fentanyl charges. The charges stemmed from a 2025 traffic stop in Galloway Township. During the stop, police discovered two handguns, including a .40-caliber Smith & Wesson equipped with a switch to make it fully automatic, and a 9 mm Luger. Officers also recovered 100 bags of suspected fentanyl, drug packaging materials, a digital scale, and over $1,100 in cash.
