Atlantic Lithium and Huayou Cobalt Form Joint Committee to Advance Ghana’s Ewoyaa Mine

Atlantic Lithium Limited and Chinese battery‑materials group Zhejiang Huayou Cobalt Co., Ltd. have created a Joint Integration Committee to steer the development of the Ewowaa Lithium Project in Ghana’s Central Region. The committee, established under a binding Scheme Implementation Deed, brings together senior executives from both companies to maintain operational momentum, coordinate regulatory approvals, and engage local stakeholders and host communities.

The partnership follows a US$210 million corporate acquisition that is progressing through Australian court proceedings, regulatory filings and shareholder votes. Under the Novation Agreement, Huayou has assumed the 22.5 % project right previously held by Elevra Lithium Limited, agreeing that development‑cost conditions precedent are satisfied, and will fund the remaining capital required for the project’s construction phase.
