Atlantic Petroleum Announces Permanent Cessation of Orlando Field Production

Atlantic Petroleum P/F reported that production at its Orlando Field stopped permanently after an electrical submersible pump failure in May 2026. The company said the field’s proximity to the scheduled closure of the Ninian platform in 2027 makes the remedial work uneconomical, so no further production is expected.

The firm will move to decommission and plug the well. Because the field’s output underpins the value of Atlantic Petroleum’s royalty and deferred‑consideration interests, the company expects a material impairment, reducing the carrying value of its Orlando‑related assets to near zero. Atlantic Petroleum is evaluating the accounting impact of this loss.
