Atlantic tropical systems show increasing chance of development

The National Hurricane Center is monitoring multiple systems in the Atlantic Basin with varying chances of tropical development.

A system located southeast of Florida has a 60 percent chance of developing into a tropical system within the next seven days. Meanwhile, a low-level circulation near Bermuda has a 50 percent chance of development over the next seven days, though it may move over cold waters by Wednesday, limiting its formation chances.

In the eastern tropical Atlantic, a tropical wave near the Cabo Verde islands has a 60 percent chance of development over the next week. This system is expected to move west-northwestward. Current data suggests this wave may move toward the Caribbean, but a strong ridge in the Atlantic is expected to steer it away from the U.S. East Coast.
