Ecuadorian striker Jordy Caicedo was sent off with a straight red card during Huracán’s 2-0 defeat against Sarmiento in Argentina. The incident occurred in the 66th minute when Caicedo struck rival defender Juan Manuel Insaurralde with a headbutt following a physical confrontation.

Following the match, Huracán goalkeeper Hernán Galíndez defended his teammate, noting that the high intensity and frustration of the game can lead to such lapses in judgment. Caicedo, who has been a key player for Huracán this season, faces a suspension for at least two matches due to the disciplinary action taken by referee Hernán Mastrángelo.
