Atletica Savoca athletes to compete in Italian national championships

Three athletes from the Atletica Savoca club, representing Sicily, are set to compete in prestigious national athletics competitions in Italy. The athletes are Carola Di Bella, Marta Carrolo, and Elisa De Simone.

Carola Di Bella will compete in the high jump at the Italian Cadet Championships in Agropoli. Marta Carrolo has been called up to the Trofeo CONI in Taranto to compete in the Tetrathlon B, which includes the 60-meter sprint, vortex throw, long jump, and 1,000-meter race walk. Elisa De Simone, the Sicilian road walking champion, is preparing for the Italian championships in Imola scheduled for October 18.

The athletes' achievements are noted for being accomplished despite significant logistical challenges, including training in provisional areas with limited equipment and specialized facilities.
