Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich to face off in Champions League

The UEFA Champions League league phase draw held in Monaco has set up a ‘Korean Derby’ between Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich. This matchup features South Korean players Lee Kang-in of Atletico Madrid and Kim Min-jae of Bayern Munich.

Under the new format, Atletico Madrid will host Bayern Munich for one of their eight league phase matches. Atletico's other scheduled opponents include Liverpool, Manchester United, PSV Eindhoven, Fenerbahce, Bodø/Glimt, Viking, and Stuttgart. Bayern Munich will face Arsenal, Atletico Madrid, Real Betis, Manchester United, Bodø/Glimt, Lille, Slavia Prague, and Viking.

Other notable matchups include Paris Saint-Germain facing Barcelona and Manchester City, while Arsenal is set to play Real Madrid. The league phase is scheduled to begin on September 9, with the final round taking place on January 27.
