Atletico Madrid Leads Race for Bernardo Silva, Challenging Galatasaray
Galatasaray, fresh off consecutive Süper Lig titles, have intensified their pursuit of Portuguese midfielder Bernardo Silva, with manager Okan Buruk signalling willingness to stretch the club's wage limits. The club's bid has been met with strong competition from Spain's Atletico Madrid, which, according to transfer specialist Nicolo Schira, has submitted a formal 2+1‑year contract offer and is currently ahead in negotiations.
Italian champions Juventus have also entered the fray, planning direct talks with Silva's representatives. Former teammate İlkay Gündoğan has been lobbying Galatasaray supporters for the move, while the player concluded last season at Manchester City with three goals and five assists in 52 appearances.
