Atletico Madrid seeks permanent transfer for Jonathan David

Atletico Madrid is reportedly preparing to make the transfer of Canadian striker Jonathan David permanent. Following a successful summer loan from Juventus, the Spanish club intends to exercise a purchase option valued at €25 million.

David has made a significant impact since joining the squad, recording three goals and one assist in his first four La Liga appearances, including a winning goal in a derby against Real Madrid. Manager Diego Simeone has praised the attacker for his tactical versatility, noting his ability to move right and his defensive contributions.

To facilitate the move, Atletico Madrid has reportedly already allocated a portion of next season’s budget to cover the transfer fee. While David remains under contract with Juventus until the option is exercised, his performance has solidified his position as a key player for the Madrid-based side.
