Atletico Madrid targets Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen

Atletico Madrid is reportedly pursuing Galatasaray forward Victor Osimhen to strengthen their attacking line. Under the direction of manager Diego Simeone, the Spanish club has identified the 27-year-old Nigerian striker as a primary target for their transfer list.

Negotiations face significant financial hurdles. Galatasaray previously paid a 75 million euro transfer fee to Napoli for the player, and Atletico Madrid aims to secure him for a sum below that amount. Additionally, Osimhen’s high salary, reported at 21 million euros in guaranteed wages, presents a challenge. To overcome these obstacles, Atletico Madrid is reportedly exploring flexible payment schedules and special bonus structures to convince Galatasaray and manage the player's compensation.

Osimhen has demonstrated strong form this season, recording 9 goals and 3 assists in 9 matches for Galatasaray. His contract with the Turkish club is set to run until June 30, 2029.
