Atlético Acreano secures promotion to Acrean football elite

Atlético Acreano has secured promotion to the top tier of Acrean football for the 2027 season. The club achieved this by defeating Plácido de Castro 3-0 at the Estádio Tonicão on Tuesday.

Goals were scored by Coitinho in the first half, followed by Rodrigo Lamar and Shilon in the second half. This victory also secured the title for the first stage of the Acreano Second Division championship. Atlético Acreano completed the first stage of the campaign undefeated, recording two wins and one draw while conceding no goals.

The club's return to the elite follows its first-ever relegation in 2024. As one of the state's most traditional teams, with four professional-era titles, the promotion marks a significant recovery for the organization.
