Atlético de Madrid draws with Stuttgart in Champions League

Atlético de Madrid secured a 1-1 draw against Stuttgart in Germany during their Champions League campaign. Despite a dominant first half by the German side, goalkeeper Jan Oblak provided critical saves to keep the match competitive. The result leaves Atlético's pursuit of a top-eight finish in the competition in a precarious position, requiring strong performances in their remaining three matches to secure automatic advancement.

In addition to the match result, Atlético de Madrid confirmed that midfielder Johnny Cardoso has suffered a low-grade muscle injury in his thigh. Cardoso, who had been performing strongly following his move from Betis, is expected to be sidelined for approximately two weeks. He will undergo physiotherapy and gym rehabilitation, likely missing the upcoming match against Deportivo and potentially the fixture against Levante on October 31.
