Atlético Escobar to debut in Liga Escobarense against América

Atlético Escobar is set to debut in the Liga Escobarense this Saturday against the newly promoted América of José C. Paz. The match will take place at the Deportivo Malvinas stadium in Villa de Mayo.

The Atlético Escobar squad is led by head coach Marcos Navarro, supported by assistants Mario Stampone and Juan Báez, and physical trainer Gonzalo Santillán. The team features reinforcements such as goalkeepers Facundo Sánchez and Camilo Salamanca, as well as several young players who have previously debuted in AFA tournaments.

The current Liga Escobarense season features a 17-team round-robin format consisting of 34 matchdays. The champion will earn a direct spot in the 2028 Torneo Regional Federal Amateur. Additionally, teams finishing between 2nd and 9th place will enter play-offs for a second qualifying spot. The tournament includes direct relegation for the 17th-placed team.
