Atlético-GO draws 1-1 with Náutico in Série B matchup

Atlético-GO and Náutico played to a 1-1 draw at the Estádio dos Aflitos in Recife during the 21st round of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B.

Náutico took an early lead in the sixth minute when Kauã scored following a cross from Igor Fernandes. Atlético-GO managed to equalize in the second half, with Geovany Soares scoring in the 56th minute after a cross from Henrique Freitas.

The result leaves Atlético-GO in seventh place with 32 points, preventing them from overtaking Novorizontino to enter the G6. Náutico remains in 14th place with 26 points. A controversial moment occurred when Náutico goalkeeper Muriel was initially shown a red card for a collision, but the decision was overturned to a yellow card following a VAR review that identified an offside in the play.
