São Bernardo defeats Atlético-GO as Ceará overcomes Novorizontino in Série B

In the 29th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série B, São Bernardo defeated Atlético-GO 1-0 at the Estádio Primeiro de Maio. Despite Atlético-GO dominating much of the first half with 61% possession and 24 total shots, they failed to score. Felipe Garcia secured the victory for São Bernardo with a penalty in the 19th minute of the second half. The loss ends Atlético-GO’s six-match unbeaten streak and puts their position in the G-6 (top six) at risk.

In another key match, Ceará secured a 2-1 comeback victory against Novorizontino at Arena Castelão. Although Novorizontino took an early lead through Matheus Bianqui, goals from Melk and Rian Santana turned the game in Ceará's favor. This result caused Novorizontino to lose its provisional lead in the standings, dropping them to second place behind Vila Nova.

Elsewhere in the competition, Londrina is set to face Fortaleza, with the latter aiming to maintain its pursuit of the top of the table while Londrina fights to exit the relegation zone.
