Atlético Madrid targets Almería midfielder Stefan Džodić

Atlético Madrid has initiated contact with representatives of Almería midfielder Stefan Džodić regarding a potential transfer. The 21-year-old Serbian international is viewed as a long-term prospect for the Madrid-based club.

Džodić recently signed a contract extension with Almería that runs through June 2032, which includes a release clause of 40 million euros. While Atlético intends to continue discussions over the coming months, reports suggest the club may attempt to negotiate a fee below the official clause, potentially leveraging the existing relationship between the two Spanish clubs.

Džodić, who joined Almería on a free transfer from Montpellier, has established himself as a regular player and recently made his senior debut for the Serbian national team.
