Atlético-MG ends H2Bet master sponsorship following Brazilian betting ad ban

Atlético-MG has announced the termination of its partnership with H2Bet, which served as the club's master jersey sponsor. The decision follows a provisional measure in Brazil that prohibits the operation and advertising of betting companies.

The partnership, which began in January 2025, was originally scheduled to last until the end of 2027 and involved a total payment of R$ 180 million over three seasons. Under the new regulations, betting companies have until Monday, October 5, to remove all advertising materials from circulation, a rule that extends to brand logos on football club uniforms.

Atlético-MG is not among the group of clubs currently appealing the measure to the Supreme Federal Court (STF) to seek a suspension of its effects. Other Brazilian clubs, such as Santos FC, have also faced similar disruptions, with Santos recently ending its sponsorship with Novibet.
