Atlético-MG signs Nigerian prospects Taiwo Alao and Olasunkanmi Abbas

Brazilian football club Atlético-MG has signed 18-year-old Nigerian winger Taiwo Alao as part of a strategic project to scout and recruit young talent from Africa. Alao, who developed at Sporting Lagos and previously played for Ikorodu City, has signed a three-year contract and will initially join the club’s Under-20 squad.

In addition to Alao, the club has reached a pre-agreement with 17-year-old midfielder Olasunkanmi Abbas. Abbas, noted for his defensive intensity and marking abilities during his time with Remo Stars, is expected to officially sign a three-season contract in January once he reaches the age of 18.
