Atlético Mineiro advances to Brasileiro Sub-17 semifinals

Atlético Mineiro has advanced to the semifinals of the Campeonato Brasileiro Sub-17 for the second consecutive year. Despite losing 3-1 to Palmeiras at Arena Barueri, Atlético secured their spot with a 6-5 aggregate victory following their 3-0 win in the first leg.

In the decisive match, Palmeiras opened the scoring through Eduardo, but Vinícius Rodrigues equalized for Atlético with a penalty. Although Eduardo and Gustavo Froldi scored again for Palmeiras, the result was insufficient to overturn the aggregate lead.

Atlético Mineiro will face Cruzeiro in a Minas Gerais derby in the semifinals. Cruzeiro advanced to the next stage after eliminating Fluminense. The semifinal matchup will be played over two legs, with Atlético Mineiro hosting the first match.
