Brazilian clubs manage player returns and injuries after FIFA date

Following the international FIFA date, several Brazilian clubs are managing the return of players and addressing injury concerns.

Flamengo is seeing the return of Pedro and Samuel Lino, though midfielder Arrascaeta faces a lengthy absence due to a wrist fracture requiring surgery. Pedro is also reportedly seeking contract renewal discussions with the club's management. Meanwhile, Flamengo players dominated the scoring charts during the international window, with four goals recorded across various national teams.

Atlético-MG is preparing for its upcoming match against Athletico-PR while managing a growing medical department. Mateo Cassierra is sidelined with a thigh injury, joining several other players already in treatment. The club is also coordinating the return of six players called up for international duty, including several from the Ecuadorian national team.

In recent media appearances, Flamengo midfielder Jorginho reflected on his career, discussing his past near-move to Manchester City and his sense of vindication after winning the Club World Cup against Palmeiras, a club that had previously rejected him during his youth.
