Atlético Nacional and Chapecoense to play memorial match

Atlético Nacional and Chapecoense will face each other in a friendly match this Saturday, September 26, at the Atanasio Girardot Stadium in Medellín. The event, titled “El partido de la amistad eterna” (The Match of Eternal Friendship), commemorates the 10th anniversary of the 2016 plane crash that killed 71 people while the Brazilian team was traveling to Colombia to play the Copa Sudamericana final.

Following the tragedy, Atlético Nacional requested that Conmebol award the title to Chapecoense. To honor the victims and the Brazilian club, Atlético Nacional has invited fans to the commemorative match, which is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. The club is offering a 20% discount for season ticket holders on up to five tickets, and children under 10 years old will be admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult.
