Atlético Nacional defeats Boyacá Chicó 4-1 in Tunja

Atlético Nacional secured a decisive 4-1 victory against Boyacá Chicó at the La Independencia stadium in Tunja during the first pending round of the Liga BetPlay Dimayor Clausura. Despite playing without star player James Rodríguez and facing five key injuries to starting players, the team maintained control of the match.

Coach Lucas González explained that Rodríguez's absence was due to the need for squad rotation amid a tight schedule. The scoring began in the 16th minute when Edwin Cardona provided an assist to Emanuel Benítez, who scored the opening goal. This win places Atlético Nacional close to the top of the standings, even with one match in hand.
