Atlético Nacional accelerates transfer market activity
Atlético Nacional is actively restructuring its squad for the second half of the 2026 season under manager Lucas González and new sporting director Víctor Marulanda. The club has secured the return of Argentine goalkeeper Franco Armani following his departure from River Plate.
In addition to Armani, the club is nearing agreements for several new signings to fill vacancies. Ian Poveda, an attacking winger, is expected to travel to Medellín for medical examinations after becoming a free agent. The club is also negotiating for defender Andrés Reyes, who previously played in the MLS, and Argentine midfielder Elías Cabrera, currently with Tigre.
Several players, including Kevin Parra, Yeicar Perlaza, and Luis Maquínez, are also returning to the squad to bolster the roster for the upcoming Liga BetPlay tournament.
