Atlético Nacional eyes winger Diego Valoyes signing and Victor Marulanda return as sporting director
Colombian club Atlético Nacional is linked to two major personnel moves. Unconfirmed reports say the club has reached an agreement to sign Colombian winger Diego Valoyes, noted for his speed and one‑on‑one ability during his spell with Talleres de Córdoba, though no official announcement has been made.
At the same time, the club is moving quickly to fill the vacant sporting director role after the departure of Gustavo Fermani. Sources indicate a strong interest in bringing back Victor Marulanda, a former player, president and long‑time executive of Nacional who is currently serving as sporting director of Ecuador’s 9 de Octubre in the second division. Marulanda’s 31‑year association with the club includes 21 titles as both player and manager, and his return is seen as a way to restore continuity and experience.
Both moves are aimed at strengthening the team’s roster and management ahead of the second half of the 2026 season.
